A PTO switch on a riding lawnmower engages the mowing deck (or other implements). When it’s not working correctly, your machine will have decreased efficiency or output. Or, it might not function at all. The issue I was having with our PTO switch was that every time I hit a bump while mowing, the PTO switch would disengage and stop the mower deck.

I picked up this vintage Toro 880 riding lawn mower for $35. My intention is to repair it and flip it. Hopefully in the process, we’ll make a few bucks to go towards the next project!

This Scotts 46572×8 came to me last year for free. I had posted on the NextDoor App looking for free equipment to work on. I was happily surprised to get so many pieces of equipment for free. The previous owner of this machine gave me another free riding mower in addition to this one.
