Knowing how to tell if a riding lawn mower engine is seized is an important diagnostic skill. Since I usually buy “junk” (non-running) riding lawn mowers to flip, this is the first thing that I check. A seized engine doesn’t necessarily mean the machine is unsalvageable, but it does increase the repair costs.

It’s important to learn how to clean your riding lawn mower. Being diligent about cleaning your machine can add to the longevity. On the flip side, being negligent in this aspect can quickly ruin a machine. Because this is such an important process, make sure to do it frequently.

When I first started flipping riding lawn mowers, I had to figure out how to transport a riding lawn mower without a trailer. I do have a car trailer, and that did work for moving machines around. But, it’s way overkill for transporting one riding lawn mower. I wanted to find a more efficient method for transporting a riding lawn mower without a trailer.
