The Official Monthly Theme for April 2021

April '21 Theme

The whole monthly theme idea worked pretty well for March. Let’s continue it looking forward to April. Just to quickly review, the monthly theme for March was snowblowers. My goal was to get two repaired and sold; in the end, I only finished one. That’s alright because I still enjoyed the idea of having a monthly theme.

How Having a Theme Helps Me

You see, a theme helps simplify things for me. Like we’ve talked about previously, I have a lot of irons in the fire, so to say. I’m currently in the process of writing two different books, attempting to maintain this blog and three different YouTube channels, getting things done around the house, business social media accounts, crypto investing, OTC investing, and on and on.

It’s easy for me to get distracted with so many different projects and ideas. Often, I’ll start another task before finishing the previous ones. It’s extremely annoying. That’s how having a theme helps me.

With my planner I’m able to come up with a theme for every month of the year, more or less based on the season. Since our channels and blog focus on different topics, I like to keep them applicable to the time of year, if pertinent. That’s why the theme for March was snowblowers – normally we get a lot of snow in March. Not so for this year.

Because of the themes, I can quickly organize my projects for the month to pertain to that theme. If it doesn’t fit the theme, I can plan it for a month where it does. I have a running list of projects and ideas in my planner that are “queued up” and ready to be placed into a theme. If a new idea pops up and doesn’t fit into the current theme, it gets added to this list.

April ’21 Theme

So the monthly theme for April is going to be yard and garden related. It was going to be just gardening but then I realized that we have a lot of other little projects to get done as well, so let’s see if we can try to merge this into one category.

I’m hopeful that this theme will encompass more, smaller projects. We have a lot of things planned, so stay tuned!
