I love riding lawn mower ramps. Love, love, love them. Let me tell you a little story from my perspective, and perhaps you’ll see why I love ramps so much.
My wife and I own 40 acres. Of that, I mow about 1 acre of land. When we first moved up here, my step mother lived about two miles away.

My father had passed away in 2015, and so she let me have his riding lawn mower – with the caveat that I continued to cut the grass at her place until she sold their house.
They also owned 40 acres, and probably about the same amount of it was mowed.
Since I kept the riding mower at my house, I had to transport it back and forth every time I went to cut the grass at her house.
I also inherited my dad’s car trailer, so this is what I used to transport the riding mower.
It was quite comical to see a riding lawn mower occupy 1/4 the size of the trailer. It was a bit overkill, but all I had at the time.
But over time, I began to despise having to hook up the trailer and load the lawn mower every week or so to bring the mower over, so I started to look into other options.
Riding Lawn Mower Ramps
Granted, these are simply pickup ramps – not specifically for riding lawn mowers. But they do let you load a riding lawn mower into the back of a pickup.
This was also before I started flipping riding lawn mowers, so I wasn’t purchasing them like I am now. I was simply looking for an easy way to transport one machine from one place to another.
And honestly, it was a little scary at first. The idea of being on a machine and having it tip off the ramps while suspended in the air was a little offputting.
After a few times of loading and unloading the riding lawn mower, however, I quickly fell in love.
It’s so much more maneuverable to not have a trailer on the back. And, it’s much faster to load the mower. Just throw the ramps out and drive right into the back.
The best part is that this works for the machines that I’m buying to flip as well. At least, as long as I’m only buying one at a time. Anything more than that, and I still need to use my trailer.
The bonus is that I can still load the trailer with four machines, and then load a fifth into the back of my pickup.

What’s most ironic about this story is that my step mother sold her property shortly after I bought the ramps. So, after two years of using the trailer to transport our riding mower, I only used them once or twice before she sold the place!
